My old rule of thumb for studying on Sundays was to bring my iPod when it was fully charged and whenever it would go dead, that's when I would go home. Through the combination of my battery not being a champ like it used to be and an increased workload, I can't rely on that anymore. Now I just bring my computer to the library and hook that bad boy up to the wall and study until I can't see straight.
I figgin' hope my grades go up with this method.

Proof That I Went To Lamb of God and Gwar Last Night
- My hands, arms, and hair are all stained red from all the fake blood sprayed into the crowd by Gwar.
- When I removed my contact lenses last night, they too were stained red although they looked more pink than red once I got them out
- My ribs are bruised from being so close to the front of the crowd and being slammed by complete strangers from every direction
- My ears have been ringing for the past 22 hours (it's starting to ease up a little bit)
- My neck is sore as hell from headbanging
what a night.

Tomatoes!
I've been meaning to check out Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog for the past few months. I first heard about it on NPR and I don't even remember what show it was that I was listening to, but they made it seem like this web-series was the shit and that it was something everybody had to check out. They were right.
I'm not a fan of musicals at all and I want to stress the "at all" part of that sentance, but low and behold I really dug this show. It's only 45 minutes long and told in three acts, but goddamn it's good.

There Was Piss Everywhere
I've come to the realization that the song "Knights of Cydonia" by Muse is one of a handful of perfect songs I have. I'm not saying that it is the best song in my music library (or anyone else's for that matter), but what I am saying is that from start to end there isn't a single fault in the track. I'll try my best to break it down.
It starts with an ominous intro with galloping horses and as far as I can tell lasers and explosions. It's also full of synthesizers which are in many cases a hindrance to a song, but not with this song, they're used subtly and help the track along it's journey. Lyrically, it's top notch and here's an excerpt from the chorus
"No one's gonna take me alive
The time has come to make things right"
Plus, the bass line hangs out the entire song mimics the sound of horses which is a nice touch. However, as cool as the track is up to this point is only about a 7.2 and it's at 3:17 when the track becomes perfect. The layered vocals with both lower register and falsetto singing and the slowly building guitar, drum, and synth all come to fruition at 4:13 when the closest thing to a face melting riff takes no prisoners.
I can remember the first time I heard this song and it was while driving in the middle of the night in a relatively secluded area. I'm not sure if it was the environment I was in or if I was just really receptive that night, but I fell in love with the track and to this day whenever it comes on I have to resist the urge to sing along at the top of my lungs. I can't say that about very many songs.
Do you have any perfect tracks of your own?

This is the place
Well guys, I've been trying to find some cool or clever or sweet ass way to say this ut I haven't been able to come up with anything so here it goes. This is the Stiche Corner's 200th post. Pretty sweet, right?
I've touched quite a few topics (and if we'll be honest, hearts), but they've all had that certain unexplainable essence that for lack of a better word has a Stiche-like quality to it. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, well... I'm pretty sure it's not a good thing, but lets say it is and you enjoy the content of this blog. If you have enjoyed the Stiche Corner, I am fairly certain that the format isn't going to change a whole lot in the next hundred posts.
Why? Mostly laziness. Laziness and the lack of writing skills like "grammar" and "knowledge of the English language", but that's not necessarily a bad thing I've found. I'm not sure how to qualify that statement so I won't.
So please continue to enjoy/occasionally glance at/ get angry because I made fun of herpes and if you're a contributor, help a brother out. I'm barely literate.

I Used To Do Drugs. I Still Do, But I Used To, Too.
This weekend has been full of good news. I'll give you a taste of the best.
The Postal Service, which is one of my favorite bands, are according to the Sub Pop Records web site are now active which could mean a follow up to their album Give Up . Even if they don't make a new album and just do some quick touring, I'd be happy as hell still.
Here's a taste (The District Sleeps Alone Tonight)
In other sweet ass news, Mitch Hedberg's people are releasing an album of unreleased material recorded two months before his death.Do You Believe in Gosh? will be coming out on Tuesday the 9th so yeah. This is an album that I will actually buy. That's saying something.

I was going to hold onto this video for a special occasion, but this will do. Everybody who experienced this in Mr. Lade's class will remember this fondly.
Enjoy
