The Stiche Corner - Sort of like a Norman Rockwell painting, if Rockwell had been influenced by hookers and cock fighting.

A Song For Our Fathers

In my Human Societies class today, we were given the assignment of breaking a social norm by next class (Wednesday). A social norm is pretty much anything that is done and accepted by a culture and if one is to break such a rule, it is highly frowned upon.

Some of the other people in the class were talking about wearing their shirts backwards or eating supper with their hands or staring at strangers. I'm not going to go down so easy.
I plan on setting up shop right outside the schools chapel while wearing this shirt and with a portable iPod player cranking out Slayer's "Reign in Blood" right as it lets out (I'm not quite sure which track yet).

Will I get a lot of angry looks? I sure hope so, otherwise I wouldn't be violating a social norm to its fullest extent. Will I go to hell? That is to be seen.

Did I mention that I go to a Lutheran college?

Somebody had to do it

Last night I entered a four team case race knowing that there could only be one winner and three losers. I knew that my specialty has never been drinking mass quantities of liquid quickly. I knew that my competitors had more experience at this than I did.

I also knew that there was once a man named John Rambo and he faced odds that were just about on par with the ones I was facing and that game me some solace. I also knew that I had to step up and be a man and that's just what I did. I ran train and won and I did it the fair way (I didn't hide any of the competitors cans under the furnace or soaking with some spent Uranium rods).

The best part is that I feel like a champion today and nothing can take that away from me. I guess it was also nice that I didn't freeze to death last night. that's another plus

Piss

I just found out that Lamb of God is coming to St. Paul the day after my last final (anatomy) in April... It's looking like I'm going to take my last final a little bit sooner.

No Time For The Ramp

I can't express how happy this trailer makes me. It's not quite The Whitest Kids U'Know, but it's fucking close.

A Wordless Chorus

I've had the skill of acting like I know who someone is even though I haven't the slightest clue of who they are for quite a while. A major example is when I try to act like I know a person's name. I've pretty much been able to squeak by my whole life going off of the words "Dude", "Man", "Mother Fucker" whenever I wasn't quite sure who I was talking to. I knew that I had class/a study group/lived on the same floor/ got hammered with this person, but for whatever reason I just couldn't retain their name.

Well that changed just a little bit tonight. I found out that one of my floor mates who I've been periodically and casually talking to (in the sense of "how're you doing?") has been cleared up. It doesn't matter how I figured it out, but I found out one of my floor mates names without acting like a total d-bag. ex: "Hey man, I've seen you just about every day of the past 5 months but I still don't actually know your name".

Oh well. As a great man once said "That shit will buff."

Viva Caligula

I just found out that a few of my friends went out into the parking lot 5 minutes ago and climbed up midway on a snowbank, then they made an igloo on the side and then they clam baked in it.

f yeah
