The Stiche Corner - Sort of like a Norman Rockwell painting, if Rockwell had been influenced by hookers and cock fighting.

I have a question for anybody who reads this blog

Does anybody know of any programs that allow one to take a large audio file and chop it up into separate tracks? I just got a couple of concerts and I would like to break them up into songs.

By the way, I own a pc.

try throwing your computer out the window

see if that helps

humm. That's not too bad of an idea, but I think I'm going to go with something a little less batshit crazy first. If that doesn't work, I'll get around to lobbing my computer out of a window to split the track up.

I think the last time anyone had that problem, it was solved with the invention of the Compact Disc. Since then, I doubt there's been any research on the subject.

Audacity is free and will allow you to export each of the smaller files as mp3's. It's also a small file and pretty easy to use

Jeff -
Come on man, you're killing me. I downloaded a couple of podcasts of Bon Iver and Iron & Wine in concert and as much as I like to listen to a band for an hour straight, I sometimes just want to listen to a select song.

Cam -
Thanks man. Have you picked up any good albums lately?

check out Horse Feathers. The only album I've listened to is Words Are Dead. Very bluesy, Appalachian sound to it, with a bit of Iron & Wine. Two dudes and a lot of instruments making beautiful folk music
